Miss Madeline is retiring at the end of May!!
We need your help in honoring her after 39 years of selfless service. This project will require some detective work on your part as well as digging through old photo albums and address books. Many of you have kids that have attended NAPS or attended yourself! Some of you have parents that have taught here and I know have kept in touch with friends and family that have been connected to NAPS in so many ways.
SO… dig out addresses, directories, old photos, email addresses and let’s get as many people to send letters and pictures as possible to include in a scrapbook for Madeline. I would love hand-written letters as Madeline has always personalized her correspondence in her beautiful cursive writing, but we will take emails as well. If you want to spread the word that would be great, but if you want me to contact others, please send me their email addresses or home addresses and I will send out a letter outlining what we are doing. I challenge each of you to contact at least three people and let’s get to work on honoring Madeline’s service to you, your families and the NAPS community. You can send these emails to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you or anyone you know, would like more information about the job description and qualifications needed for the position please email: email@example.com.
The mission of North Asheville Preschool is to be a ministry to the members of Asbury Memorial UMC and the community in which it is located. A dedicated and diverse staff, overseen and supported by a committed Board of Directors, provides a loving yet challenging environment in which children of every race, ethnicity and religion can express themselves through various creative activities and expand their knowledge of the world around them.
As they grow physically, children are given opportunities to also grow socially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. They are encouraged to develop desirable habits and values such as honesty, understanding, forgiveness, tolerance, compassion, truthfulness and charity in order to become caring, sharing and responsible persons.
The program offers children experiences in many areas, including creative art and play, social skills, music, stories and kindergarten readiness. These provide a solid foundation for later education while helping children expand their own self-expression, self control, self reliance and self-esteem as they progress at their individual rates.
